I
am here now. I am safe. I am healed from past hurt. And now, I get to take on a
brand-new chapter: learning to live brilliantly with CFS.
Here's the thing about my
"prescription" — happiness, peace, and less physical exertion. Some
people would call that the dream! And honestly, I'm getting there. At first,
slowing down drove me up the wall — anyone who saw my old blog posts knows I
used to be a whirlwind of busyness.
I
know CFS shows up differently for everyone. To every single one of you walking
that road, I am sending you love and positive energy today.
This journey now is all about
pacing myself and getting good at it so I can move through my days without pain
or Post-Exertional Malaise (PEM). It's a balancing act, and I'm here for it!
I've learned (the hard way, like the time I hit the gym and paid for it with
days of pain and deep fatigue afterwards) that listening to my body isn't
optional — it's the whole game.
I love to study, and I've
learned that doing a little less doesn't mean living a little less. I can still
build a full, happy, meaningful life, I just get to be smarter about how I
build it.
I'm practising pacing every
single day. Some days I nail it, some days I don't — and both are part of
learning. I'm figuring out what works and what doesn't, and slowly, steadily,
I'm homing in on my baseline. That baseline is the trickiest puzzle piece right
now, but I'm not giving up on finding it. I'll keep going, one day at a time.
And here's what keeps me lit up:
I get to Coach. I get to encourage and empower people, and I love it. CFS is
part of my story now, but it will never be the author of it — I refuse to stop
moving toward what I love, even if my steps are smaller these days.
Before I meet a coaching client,
I protect the day before and the day after by keeping it quiet, restful, and
unhurried, because my clients deserve me to be fully present, fully engaged, and
fully there.
I have shared my story with you
because I hope it reaches someone who needs to hear it. So, to you, reading
this right now, take it one day at a time, be calm. Being hard on yourself only
weighs you down further. Choose love for yourself instead. Listen to your body.
Listen to that inner spirit/voice/guide, it knows the way. Trust it, because it
always speaks from a place of love.
I'll be posting videos on Instagram (kw_womenscoach) to further empower, inspire, uplift, and strengthen you to live your very best life. I can't wait for that.
I can already feel where this journey is taking me: more public speaking, more stages, more reach, and I'm leaning into that with everything I've got.
